Throwback Post: Little Tokyo.
Back in 2013, after payday me and my colleagues decided to hangout together.
Under the recommendation of some of our workmates who have been in this place, we decided to come along and joined them with their Japanese Cuisine Hunt.
When we first got here at Little Tokyo, I fell in love the way it was constructed though I haven’t went to Japan. But it seems that this place is giving you a Japanese ambiance.
It’s been almost two years since I went at Little Tokyo but for starters you can see a lot of good reviews from this place.
According to the blog that I read earlier it is a restaurant inside a compound and they are pricey which I totally agreed when I first got here.
Anyway let’s take a look with the menus:
So we ordered two kinds of sake hot and cold, this was my very first time to drink a Japanese wine.
I remember I have a work-mate who is a pure Chinese and raised here in the PHL. She told us that hot sake taste much better than the cold one because you can feel the pure rice wine (maybe some sort of a puree?)
Verdict: the taste last in my mouth for about a week or maybe I just liked how’d it taste.
I am not really a huge fan of noodle thing, but majority wants a Ramen so we had two kinds of Ramen Spicy and Non-Spicy.
Verdict: Not that Bad I might get one bowl for this!
If there is one Japanese cuisine that I am huge fan of eating most probably it is the maki thing especially the one with a mango fillings inside.
But since I haven’t seen any maki with mango fillings in the inside, this one is not bad as I thought. We also ordered hotpot unfortunately we haven’t take a picture of it.
In summary hotpot and sake turned out to be my fave dish.
